We have developed great and exciting facilities at our Campus in Heredia.
We are located on a beautiful site comprised of 5 acres in Heredia.

The site has six conveniently connected buildings that house 10 classrooms, administrative offices, and lots of space to study and rest. Porrosati Private Reserve is an American-Costa Rican, privately-owned nature reserve, and Spanish Institute located in Santa Barbara of Heredia, just 5 minutes from the historical city of Barva. Porrosati's quiet and beautiful location provides unlimited opportunities for Spanish learning, nature study, research and some relaxation. Ecotravellers, natural history travellers, student groups, bird-watchers, and agricultural students will be delighted with the variety of flora and fauna, and activities that we offer. As long-time residents and citizens of Costa Rica, we have a great knowledge of the country. Our experience gives us what is needed to manage groups and/or individuals. We pride ourselves on supporting education and Service-Learning Projects with affordable rates to students and participants.We believe that business, development, and conservation must work together, that is why in our volunteer projects we focus on offering a Service-Learning experience for a better cultural understanding, and new ideas for the people visiting this paradise that is called Costa Rica.Come with us and taste the real Costa Rican way, get some of the PURA VIDA!

The Campus also includes around 50 different kinds of native trees and plants, more than 80 species of birds, and a large river bordering the property. The private reserve where the Institute is located is a unique natural resource which has been developed as a rustic educational laboratory.
