UBOAT B129 Hotfix 4: Bug fixes and gameplay improvements

0

UBOAT recently received a new patch which fixed the issues and also made some improvements. The issue where the torpedo could not be launched if players moved it from one launcher to another has been fixed in this update. Additionally, the range of G7a torpedoes now varies based on the speed selected by the user.

Previously a UI issue where the fuel tank would show zero fuel if players bought in a port. This would go away if players refreshed the interface. However, this made things confusing as they couldn’t keep up with how much fuel was left. Fortunately, the developers have added a fix for this in this patch.

UBOAT Update: B129 Patch 4

Graphic

  • Turret damage was not restored after loading a game state.

  • Improved the alignment of various elements on the aircraft carriers of the Illustrious and Bogue classes.

  • The highlight that appears after moving a cursor over a distant ship would appear noticeably above the ship, if realistic earth curvature rendering was enabled in the settings.

  • C3 merchant ships contained an untextured white element after being damaged.

  • After loading a game state with a smoker on the turret from the main menu and then back into the game the cigarette would turn pink.

General

  • Steam Rich presence statuses are now localized to the end user’s language. This change may take some time to propagate to all language versions of the game.

  • Depictions of ships are now loaded into the scene from a greater distance to make the experience more cohesive.

  • It is no longer possible to start a tutorial mission when there are survivors on board.

  • The description of Turm II and Turm IV was slightly wrong. This change may take a while to propagate to all language versions of the game.

  • LST ships were not loaded, and convoys with such ships sometimes stopped in place (this class of ships began to appear in late 1944).

  • The “cash cow” supply ships were sometimes not able to reach the chosen destination, if the way to it was complicated and got stuck near the coast.

  • Empire ships were not correctly identified by the crew. This issue did not affect their torpedo solutions, but could be problematic if the player used their ID as the basis for creating a custom solution.

  • Sometimes the time compression was stopped without clearly being needed during storms or if there was a friendly submarine nearby.
