The latest promotions from Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 is sure to leave you excited about Friday’s episode of the quiz that will host the Olympic medalists Neeraj Chopra and P Sreejesh. Not just viewers, it looks like host Amitabh Bachchan also had a lot of fun interacting with the two Olympians and learning a few things about their respective sports.
In a KBC 13 promo shared by Sony TV, Chopra, who won a gold medal in the javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics, explained a few grips used to hold the javelin. He told Big B that he would have loved to show him how to throw the javelin, but the actor jokingly asked him not to by pointing at the audience sitting in the studio.
Then he wanted hockey player Sreejesh to show how he defends his team’s goals. Seniors Bachchan and Sreejesh both received hockey sticks. As Sreejesh stood in front of the goal post, the actor attempted to score goals. After a few failed attempts, he scored a goal, and there was no limit to his excitement.
Sreejesh was part of the men’s hockey team, which fulfilled the 41-year dream of a medal at the Olympics after winning a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics this year.
In another promotional video, Amitabh asked Chopra why he chose the javelin throw. The athlete shared, âMy chacha (paternal uncle) once asked me if I wanted to study or do something in sports. I thought I should say studies because that would make him happy, but he told me he knew studying was not my cup of tea so I should do something in sports. I once saw my elders playing this sport, and that’s when I thought I would do something in this area alone as well. That day, only sport took a special place in my heart.
Chopra, 23, won the country’s first Olympic medal in track and field with the best throw of 87.58m in Tokyo.
After some serious discussion, things took a hilarious turn when Chopra recreated Bachchan’s popular dialogue “Main Aur Meri Tanhai” from the movie Silsila with her Haryanvi accent. Later, Sreejesh and Chopra joked that they were here to teach the Bollywood megastar Haryanavi and made him say a line or two in the language.
Kaun Banega Crorepati airs on Sony TV, Monday through Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
