Chloe Zhao, Mayling Ng and France Nuyen to be honored in person at Asian World Film Festival closing gala

LOS ANGELES, November 9, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The 2021 Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) announced today that this two-time Oscar winner Chloe Zhao (Marvel Studios’ Eternals, Nomadland) and famous actors France Nuyen (Joy Luck Club, South Pacific) and Mayling Ng (Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman) will be celebrated with the Snow Leopard Awards at the closing gala of the festival. In addition, the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA); Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA); His Royal Highness of Cambodia, Norodom Arunrasmyn; famous actor Kieu Chinh (Autumn trip, China Beach); and newspaper editor, humanitarian and film producer, Lady Maiden Alex Ibru (Eyimofe), will all receive awards at a ceremony honoring Asian cinema and the people and organizations that support it, as well as philanthropic efforts.

The film winners of the festival competition will also be announced, followed by the screening of the South Korean box office success. To escape from Mogadishu, the closing party function. Stars Collective is currently working with 145 filmmakers and will be adding NFT artists soon.

The newly created Benefactor Angel Award celebrate the individuals and organizations who have unconditionally supported AWFF’s efforts on behalf of the Asian film community.
