octopath traveler is a solo Roleplay released in 2018 for nintendo switchdevelopped by Square-Enix. Square Enix recently released a prequel that they have published on mobileand the name is Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent (Octopath Traveler: CotC). It establishes the story of Octopath Traveler and lays the groundwork for CotC gamers to try the Switch game. It’s a Turn-based JRPG with lots of interaction and battle scenarios, and can add up to eight characters in a party. Champions of the Continent is a single-player game, just like Octopath Traveler. It mostly revolves around players taking control and assuming the role of the main character, then recruiting other characters as they travel around Orsterra.

The main gameplay of CotC is a JRPG format. For the uninitiated, a JRPG is a Japanese role-playing game. It involves turn-based gameplay as its main gameplay element. Combat is also turn-based, and all JRPGs involve a large amount of interaction with the game world.
CotC achieves this through richly animated environments and well-crafted combat sequences. Players start with one character and adopt a Point and click method of moving around the maps.
There are three different paths that a player can choose to follow at the start: Wealth, fame, Where Power. Each of these paths has a different boss or villain who is the antagonist of that path. The path players choose determines their story, but they can play the other paths once they have completed the story with one path.
Start with the tutorial
When the game starts, players have to follow a tutorial which explains the basics of the game. Movement, combat and interaction, everything is shown in the tutorial. Once this is complete, players will see a master of cats occasionally, who will guide them through the various stages of the game. Whenever a new phenomenon is introduced to the player, this cute little cat will explain everything in easy-to-understand language. Introducing game characters
In Octopath Traveler CotC, players can control up to eight different characters at a time. It is not an easy task. And with so many members, the fight becomes more difficult to manage. Every character is different Works in the game. These jobs are only character classes.

All characters in the player group continue to level up as the game places players in random battles. Influence and achievements
Besides combat, influence is also an important part of CotC. Influence can be increased with donations. Achievements are a kind of List of Achievements. This list is a record of daily and weekly player achievements in the game. Since this game is single player, achievements include defeating tough enemies and completing story milestones. Influence is divided into three categories.
Each category is ranked. The categories are power, wealth and fame. Ranks give you Ruby and skills/passive bonuses. - When you go over the limits, go for the strongest character in your party and the healer/support characters. This is to make sure you have a high level healer ready in case a battle gets a little too risky.
- Increase your Influence. As previously stated, an increase in Influence ranking gives party members a boost in power.
- As in other RPG games with free elements, there are also daily missions in CotC. Doing this will give players much needed resources. It is therefore recommended to supplement them every day.
- Players might be wondering if there are so many stat and combat upgrades in CotC, what about items? Well, the good news is that no item can be used in any combat situation. So players don’t have to worry about equipping extra gear.
- Be very careful when forming your party, because even if a group of eight can be formed, not all slots are free. Only four slots are freely available. So choose your members in the most optimal way. A recommended group build is Warrior, DPS, Healer, and Tank. The warrior here fulfills the role of the main fighter on the front line, alongside the tank. Healer heals the team during battle, while DPS deals heavy damage from the baseline.
