The ASVAB registration form lists ALL ASVAB dates available in BSD for the 2022-23 school year. Each of the four comprehensive secondary schools (Bellevue HS, Interlake HS, Newport HS and Sammamish HS) will host ASVAB twice during the year. The test dates are spread out so that there is an ASAVB test each month, from September to April. Students can register to take the ASVAB at their high school OR at one of the other high schools.
Students can register multiple times. If a student is registering for September and needs to retake the exam, they can access this form and register for another date.
Juniors and seniors are allowed to register with ASVAB. The score can be used to respond to a graduation pathway (English Language Arts and Mathematics Assessment). ASVAB scores are not released to military recruiters by BSD. However, if a student is interested in the armed forces, they can submit their grades to a recruiting office.

About the ASVAB
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is an aptitude test developed by the Department of Defence. It measures a young adult’s strengths and potential for success in military training. The Bellevue School District is pleased to offer the ASVAB CEP (Career Exploration Program) testing opportunity to students. BSD Juniors and Seniors have the option of taking the ASVAB. There is no cost to take the exam and students do not need to engage in military service. The CEP ASVAB also provides interest assessment and planning tools to help young adults explore professional entry requirements and various career paths.
The ASVAB is divided into eight subtests, General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Understanding, Math Knowledge, Electronic Information, Automotive and Workshop Information, and Mechanical Understanding. Students will receive a percentile score for each of these sections, but only the Arithmetic Reasoning, Math Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, and Word Knowledge subtests count toward the Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) score. . A qualifying AFQT score (31 or higher) can be used to meet the math and English graduation requirements.
